“A person always doing his/her best becomes a natural leader, by example.”- Joe Dinaggio.

As stated before, I have always believed that learning isn’t just academic. Sports teach us skills like teamwork and communication and their importance in one’s life. I got appointed as the Vice President for the club in T3,2020. Since then, we had hosted several in-person and online events successfully. I got to practice my leadership skills while organizing the tournaments and helping the players with their queries. The skills that I polished were self-management, cross-cultural communication, critical and innovative thinking, teamwork, problem-solving, accountability. One of the incidents, where I was able to help my fellow club members were after a thriving tournament, one of the team was upset about the loss. I helped them realize that it's not always about winning. It also made me realize the fact that no matter how much hard work and practice one does, the result is always unpredictable, and therefore we should work on ourselves without doubting.

"My first day in the club weekly events, and I felt like a stranger. I had never played TT before nor I had many friends with whom I could attend the TT events. I almost thought to leave on the first day itself, but then I met Payal. She made me comfortable in the club and helped me to socialize with everyone. She volunteered to help me improve my people skill and confidence level " - Umang Bharali, Club Member.
