DUSA plays an important role in a Deakin student's university life and I wanted to challenge myself with certain responsibilities that could make difference in the student experience. I wanted to be a leader who could take charge from the front. I always want to ensure every student feels like they can get involved with campus life. Therefore, I decided to stand in DUSA Elections 2021 as a Burwood Campus Co-Ordinator Candidate with StandUp! Ticket. Through this role, I understood that as a leader, it is important to set realistic expectations though might not be the most favourable one.
